Screen Gathering explores the psychological tension of living in the digital age through the reconstruction of a claustrophobic domestic environment. Drawing from personal experiences of exhaustion, overstimulation, and contradictory desires, the installation examines how screens shape contemporary forms of loneliness, consumption, and escapism.

The work recreates a cramped one-bedroom apartment filled with multiple devices continuously looping software interfaces, social media feeds, and moving images. Although physically empty, the space appears crowded by the persistent presence of digital voices and algorithm-driven desires. Everyday objects including consumer products, sugar-free soda bottles, food packaging, and scattered personal belongings become traces of attempts at self-restraint and self-care that remain entangled with cycles of consumption.

Closed curtains and confined interiors suggest a sense of entrapment, while projected landscapes and open windows introduce an opposing longing for distance, freedom, and emotional release. The installation exists within this tension: between connection and isolation, abundance and emptiness, desire and exhaustion.
